First Phoebus exhibition 'The Birth of Capitalism' closed in succes

From 17 June 2016 until 22 January 2017, the Province of East Flanders, in cooperation with Katoen Natie, Indaver and The Phoebus Foundation, staged an exhibition called ‘The Birth of Capitalism’ at the Provincial Cultural Centre Caermersklooster (Carmelite Monastery) in Ghent.

From 17 June 2016 until 22 January 2017, the Province of East Flanders, in cooperation with Katoen Natie, Indaver and The Phoebus Foundation, stages an exhibition called ‘The Birth of Capitalism. The Golden Age of Flanders’ at the Provincial Cultural Centre ‘Caermersklooster’ in Ghent.

Birth of Capitalism closed on 22 January 2017. The exhibition about “the Silicon Valley of the Middle Ages” attracted 70.000 visitors including the Royal family and was hailed with a lot of positive reactions. A follow-on project was quickly developed as a result of its success.
