Permanent Phoebus exhibitions at HeadquARTers, the command centre of Katoen Natie
22/02/2017
In this exhibition, Belgian art from The Phoebus Foundation’s collection is used to provide a glimpse of Belgian art history, with a special focus on the artists’ motives. How was art perceived by Belgian artists throughout Belgian history? Did Belgian history influence this view of art? How do contemporary Belgian artists see this evolution?
A number of artists have contributed by lending additional works. The ground floor is entirely devoted to temporary exhibitions of guest artists’ work. The first guest artist will be Lindert Paulussen.
