International textile congress

The international conference “Textiles from the Nile Valley”, held every two years and organised by Dr Cäcilia Fluck, Dr Petra Linscheid, and Prof. Dr Antoine De Moor, takes place at the Katoen Natie HeadquARTers.

This international research group — bringing together scientists, curators, textile conservators, and analysts — presents the latest developments in the field of archaeological textiles, with a focus on finds dating from the first millennium AD, discovered in Egypt and its neighbouring countries.

The 2025 congress will take place on 15–16 November 2025. This edition will focus on “Pile Textiles from Egypt and Neighbouring Countries.”
